1001, The Reincarnation Chronicles is an 11 book series containing 1001 chapters. As with The Thousand and One Nights, each chapter contains a story. 1001 past life stories! Holy Scheherazade!
The 11 central characters in the present day narrative belong to a qaraq, a group of souls who have reincarnated together lifetime after lifetime, accruing an interlocking karmic history. This history interacts with the qaraq’s present day choices to discover, perpetuate, or repair their karma. In addition, there are 11 hidden numerological and literary structures lying beneath the complex narrative, supporting the arcane laws of karma.
Some hints from the Kind Author: each incarnation has the same initial as its central character. Thus Naji is incarnated as Nyw, NO(z)14, and Noam. To aid the Careful Reader, there are comprehensive lists offered in the Reader’s Guide, in the front material, and Appendix section of the books. In the Appendix, you can also find the story of Scheherazade, so important to the nature and interaction of the souls in the qaraq.
Finally, one of the central actions of 1001, The Reincarnation Chronicles is the qaraq’s tireless effort to understand the karmic history and mysterious structures. In any chapter the characters examine events in this glorious puzzle. The qaraq will provide what needs to be understood at that moment.
